A weekend of fun, food, music and fish!

Over twenty years have passed since Freida Flint came up with the idea to have a festival, celebrating the wonder of Salmon.


Who: Oroville Salmon Festival, organized by the Upstate Community Enhancement Foundation

What: 22th annual Oroville Salmon Festival, a weekend Oroville celebrates the thousands of spawning salmon that annually make their way from the ocean back up the Feather River

Where: Feather River Fish Hatchery and Historic Downtown Oroville

What is there to do? 

The Historical Downtown Oroville comes alive with a pancake breakfast at the Fish Hatchery,  live music, food, a Health Fair and more at Salmon Court, craft fair in the historic downtown and the Family Fun Day.

There's free air-conditioned shuttle service and parking from River bend Park at Highway 70 and Montgomery Street or from the County Buildings at Grand Ave. and Table Mountain Blvd. 

The Fish Hatchery will be hosting free tours and fish viewing from 9:00am till 3pm.  There will also be a Pancake Breakfast starting at 9:00am. You can also rent a Kayak and take a float down to River Bend Park. Floats launch at 8:30, 11:00, 1:30 and 4pm.  For more information and to register visit  forebayaquaticcenter.com.

Historic downtown Oroville is the place for the Salmon Festival Street Fair with over 100 vendors and crafts-persons from throughout the region. You'll also find a Kids Zone and Food Court at Myers and Montgomery Street. 

As you walk up Myers Street to the levee leading to Salmon Court you'll find Non-Profit Alley with dozens of our areas Community Organizations performing out-reach to inform you of there services. There is also a Bus Stop at this location taking you back to River bend Park. 

Salmon Court is located on-the-levee at Oliver Street features:  non-stop entertainment, foods of all kinds including all sorts of Salmon dishes, the Oroville Hospital Health Fair where you can get free flu shots, a Beer and Wine Garden, a Children's Art Exhibit, free cartoons drawings from Jon Shultz, a salmon Grilling Contest, Cooking Demonstrations and more. The hours are from 10:00am till 4:00pm and admission is FREE. 

BCOE Family Fun Day is located at Huntoon and Robinson Streets and host a variety of free children's activities starting at 10:00am.
